Damn it was nice outside today. I got to work outside most of the day, and the other part of the day I was right near a propped open door with a nice breeze coming through.

Great! So i'll throw out some questions (or kvasi-logical questions, i don't know yet).

So, the universe was created in a hyper-gigantual explosion, and is expanding til this very day. But where does the 'material' and energy come from for the expansion?
Cause obviously energy would be needed to expand (move galaxys/etc 'outwards' from the center) and some form of material would be needed for new starts and galaxies to 'be created'.

Our solar system is said (by scientists, i belive) to move around the centerpoint of The Milky Way and return to it's initial position every twohundred million year.
And if we are moving clockwise (/or counter-clockwise): Why?
What triggered that particular motion? And followup question: Are we slowing down?

I just want to know where the original matter and energy came from.

...it's all just a mutual fantasy! I call shenanigans on the universe.

The answer to the first question depends in a large part on the answer to the last question. If the universe has no limits i.e. it continues to expand forever then eventually everything just flies away from each other. Since it seems that we cannot detect light from objects further away than 20 billion light years, the Milky Way will be alone in the universe for a very long time until it to eventually flies apart. My understanding is that no we are not slowing down but rather are continuing to accelerate. Thus supporting this scenerio. However, if we are slowing down, then the reaches of the universe are finite. The universe will reach a maximum range and then gravity will pull everything back into itself. When the universe compresses to a singularity a new Big Bang will occur and it will start all over.

...but where'd the matter come from in the first place?

For the first tenth of a second or so there was no matter of any kind, the universe was pure energy. In that time it had expanded from a singularity to a handful of light-days in diameter. In the next two minutes or so the universe reaches 25 to 50 light years in diameter and has cooled enough for sub atomic particles to combine into helium. It will take another few hundred thousand years to make more complex elements such as hydrogen which allows for the ignition of stars. It is in stars and eventually supernovas that heaver elements are formed.

Now the real question, where did life decide to pop up from?

The hand of God. I have no problems beliving in both God and the Big Bang.

And milt said, "Let there be life."

And that's how it happened.

Very intresting, David.

I'll think of more questionmarks that needs to be straightened later. (If you wish.)

So where did the ENERGY come from?

Energy forms matter...doesn't make much sense either...granted, there are things we still don't know, but pure energy forming all elements in a precise and orderly fashion...

Now if you were to introduce God guiding energy in the formation of matter...

How does those pressure/non-greavity chambers work, where they train astrounauts?

Let's say that (in one of those chambers) i place a pen in the air, it will remain hanging in the air, correct?

So... why is that? The awesome power of gravity should be abel to reach the pen even inside the chamber and pull it to the floor.

Lack of gravity is achieved on earth by taking you up on a plane, then going into a really freaking steep dive. The closest other thing is being submerged in water, which they do for EVA training.

What I believe you're speaking of is the giant electromagnet chambers that can, indeed, cause things to "float" by massive attraction of the miniscule amounts of magnetic material in the object.
