Default Nwn2

Comments?

Graphics look horrible, but I'm still going to try it out.
It the gameplay is half-decent I'll finish the game.

What are your feelings about it?

I have it, I beat it, it's awesome. I still play it.

*EDIT*
And while I realize some people don't like it and say it sucks...I for one could not disagree more with that.

*EDIT 2*
Oh, and the ending is a bit cheesy, but, bah, the gameplay is good.

I gotta say I love it. It's not as replayable as the original (as far as the original campaign goes, i'm not talking about player-made-modules), but the first time through, it's fantastic. The only disappointment I have so far is the chest loot doesn't seem to be very random at all. The interactive cut-scenes are badass though.

In baldurs gate, fighter/priests/druids/rangers/paladins were the most fun to play imo.
Baldurs gate 2, mages and sorcerers pwned where great because there so much magic related stuff .. thiefs are also lots of fun.

My point, each game storyline is built to have strong and weak characters whether the developpers want it or not.
Also, some are made interesting and some hard to play.

I usually tend to like the interesting or hard to play characters ..
In what category do you think each class (general class group) fits in for nwn2?

Well, by far the fighters and barbarians are the easiest to play in the first chapter or so(I think that's been the truth for all dnd games, though). Monks are pretty cool; right now, I'm playing a Deep Gnome monk (level adjustment of +3), and it's pretty challenging. Stuff dies super quick, but so does my character if battles aren't planned very well. I've also got a warlock who's pretty kick-ass. Combat gets pretty repetitive, though, so if you're not the kind of person who plays a game just to build a character and see the various abilities, it'll probably get pretty boring.
From what I've experienced so far, all of the classes are fairly balanced; no one class trumps every other class, it's just a playstyle thing.

Speaking of Baldur's Gate, I am wishing that they would do some more with that franchise and engine.

I loved Baldur's Gate I and II.
But it seemed too short ....

Nwn2 doesn't look that great ... Even if I could play it, I doubt I would, tbh.

I played bg 1 and 2 .. soo much .. I even played this year .. I've been playing for 7 years lol.

I know EVERY quest, EVERY character, EVERY item, how much XP EVERY character gives ... and I've played tons of mods . I have a 8gig version installed atm .. not playing .. but ya .. combines bg1 and bg2 in one storyline with the engine of bg2 (so you can start bg1 as a monk or any other special kit that comes with bg2/tob/or mods).

Over 200 hours of extra quests and pretty decent storyline to them.

I always wished that they'd just sell the engine and their tools ..
The home-made modding tools are very so-so .. too long to use.
Anyways ...
I like the characters that if used wisely, smartly and with good tactic in every fight and that if you don't you die but if you do you pwn ass . Theres some sort of satisfaction in there .. where all the planing is actually worth it.

I find that with warriors .. I tend to skip details .. and start to just charge and bash ..
Thats why I like thieves and mages/or of magical abilities. They give a point to all the details in the game .
