I have been calling about the camera I ordered from NewEgg (which I posted about in another thread) all day because they failed to overnight air it like I was promised. Well, I decided to give up on their phone customer support because they sucked (as noted below), and this is what their live chat support had to say about the phone customer support...
Pointless thread other than that, I just thought someone may find it funny the rep said this... Paul: Someone actually just hung up on me a moment ago. Paul: And I think its getting ridiculous. Lan: I do apologize you were hung up on it. That is not procedure we normally follow. Here I thought being hung up on was a NORMAL procedure... Thank god this guy took it upon himself to let me know this wasn't the case... Okay, I'm done here. Heh. |

You seriously must have bad luck. Ive been using NewEgg for years and never had a single problem. What exactly went wrong for you that you had to contact customer service multiple times?

Keep in mind you only get until 12:30 PST to do this or your SOL for the day. But now that I'm at this point, I'm beyond being able to change it now and I was stuck with normal 3 day shipping. SO! I got home from work and called them up to crab at them that they could have told me earlier so I could have changed it, and wanted to talk to a manager to see if there was something they could do to help me out since I really was hoping to get the camera before the weekend. And instead of helping, the wench hung up on me. So I went to live chat support. In closing, the guy from the chat support claims hes going to waive my overnight air fee (and indeed change my order to overnight air) for tomorrow, so hopefully I WILL get it by the weekend. So, to sum it up. I'm just disappointed I called 2309847230948230948 times today to make completely certain it shipped today, only to find out it didn't and that nobody can do anything to help and that NewEgg has no corporate number to call to fix my satisfaction, heh. But I did learn that hanging up on customers is not standard procedure. So I guess I came out of it with something... |

little disappointed in newegg right now...I ordered a converter cable (sata to ata to usb) with 2day air and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow (ordered Wednesday)

well, in all honesty, what seems upsetting or minute to some, is actually a big deal, it could save people from getting fraudulent charges on their account, or even their identity stolen, when i paid for my stuff with paypal, my stuff wasnt the same (phone number) so i had to change it aswell before they would ship it out....
as for the shipping thing, that sometimes isnt their fault, but the banks fault, now this probably isnt the case, but as your aware, all orders made are verified by the bank ( if they are a GOOD bank) and if they arent, its normally cause the bank screws up or is being cautious. tho the customer support for newegg is shit, ive had to deal with them a couple times myself, and the phone call ended with my saying some very hurtful words to the rep. but, it seems newegg is getting a little shitty lately, possibly due to the many orders put in, but who knows |

Delivery date also depends on time of day, NewEgg stops processing orders after a certain time of day. It took me 5 days( paid for 3 day shipping ) to get my computer stuffs because of this.
You could also try checking the tracking info they give you and possibly calling the company thats shipping it( FedEX/UPS ). I really hope you didnt go with the UPS 1 day overnight. [Edit] Honestly though, NewEgg delivered within 3 processing days( I ordered after like 5pm on a friday, my order wasnt processed until monday, I had my stuffs wendsday ). I do find it funny though that the money from my account was removed on friday like 5min after I placed my order. If they are gonna process payment that day, they should process shipping.

Why? The payment process is automatic while the shipping process isn't.

Their warehouse shipping hours end after 12:30 PM PST as far as I know.
Had I not called 6 zillion times, theres no way I would have gotten my camera this week (I received it in yesterday by the way - it works great ). I do believe any delays in shipping I personally experienced could have possibly been from rush orders over the holiday weekend.Its just a thought. Aggravating none the less, but I guess its possible. |

Yeah, I hate their customer service, I only deal with RMA forms when needed and that's it (seems to work out better anyway). Otherwise I typically get pissed at the first person I talk to and escalate to a supervisor
