Default Gay Fucking Haxxor.

I don't know how but some guy keep crashing my friends router,

He says he is doing it using DOS UDP Packets(what are these?), and i have to believe as every time he says he is going to do it usually within 5 minutes the router crashes and my friend looses connection.

Does anyone know how to prevent this guy from crashing my friends router?, if so please tell me, i would be very grateful for any help with this.

TIA

Edit: Router Model = linksys wrt160n

According to your friend in irc, he evidentally knows the person, so he probably antagonized them somehow. Not that I condone denial of service attacks as retaliation for that, but... you reap what you sow, if you get my drift..

I also do not know how to prevent such attacks, nor do I care much about you or your friend's predicament.

ok this is what you do.....

first, grab a butter knife, (youll see why i said this once you finish this little help)

next, you wanna grab some peanut butter or something cause itll take awhile and it helps with some things.

then youll wanna spread the peanut butter on your friends ass crack

finally, lick it off, problem solved

as for the router thing, try apologizing to the guy for being a douche?

$5 says your haxxor is just using pings with the replies blocked on his end. Most routers contain an option to disable ping requests, so take the router offline, web console into it, toggle off ping and put it back online.

Poop on your friends chest.
Without his config settings it's kinda hard to help your "friend".

Ignore the problem and suspend yourself from a ceiling by rope.

There's a dog, there's a dog, what a dog
He's a fine dog, jolly dog, jolly dog
Look at him (he's a dog) with his dog leg
And his doggy head
Let's walk

Do you know how true that is? I bet you don't. Maybe you do? I don't know.

You have a link of what to try and do. Have you ran ShieldsUp? Have you switched the ports on the router?
What were the results?

I am not really good at this stuff so don't expect too much, but I do good research most of the time and maybe I can help that way. =]

In a recent survey of RunUO's starbucks forum results show that quite a few people think hackers ruining other people's Internet connections is not enough. Demands for death have been posted.

Advice.
Please consider putting your dick into a light bulb socket instead of posting in starbucks for help.
