I know what you mean about moving, I moved from Arkansas to Utah this past Nov. which was part of why I was gone for a while as well ![]() Lol... I know your feelings w/trying to get your wife to play... My hubby refuses to play UO Lol He can't stand the graphics, he plays WoW atm, until he gets his new puter then he plans on going to AoC, he is upset that his puter won't run it I keep coming back to UO, it just has so many features I enjoy having in a game. ![]()

I would love for a game to come out similar in concept to UO, just w/a lot better graphics then the current UO has. There's so much freedom w/the chars and such in UO, skill wise and stats. Plus while there is some grinding in UO, it's nothing compared to the games now, the non stop constant grind... ugh... lol and the way PvP was done when UO first came out, that was fun Lol I know Darkfall sounds a lot like the original UO, but considering it's been in development for like 7 years now, there's no telling when/if it will ever come out and if it will live up to what it promises. If it does tho, it sounds promising ![]()

The only thing I'm not too sure about is that they're putting it in a first person view, bleh, but I will still give it a try if it comes out ![]()

Very true, I am really hoping that they can pull it off because if Darkfall comes out this year, and is like they claim it will be, that'll be my game of choice Lol I'm just worried it will end up being vaporware or that it will be released but it won't have half of the things they are promising, and it will end up being just another same ol same ol mmo like the ones currently out now. =X

The reason im waiting on alot of it is that the current RC engine won't do everything that i need it to do....im a member of their private forums, and they are finally looking at an RC 2/pro release in the next month or so...they have already started the closed beta and open beta to begin soon. and the reason for not asembly, it is for the moment a hobby to learn off of....i don't see making any money off of it but if i did great....but doubt it ![]() Darkfall?? got a website? never heard of it. |

It's been in development for about 7 years now, there's not been too much publicity about it since a lot of ppl are thinking of it as vaporware due to the time it's been "in the making". But, from what has been released about it, it sounds a lot like the original UO, and it is supposed to be out sometime this year, so =X Here's the website for it, and also the site link about it on MMORPG.com

Aren't we like in 2008, shouldn't we grow out of it and start new concepts that are more actual and therefore bring intellectual activity to your players? For example, I was playing Ultima V the other day and I stopped to think "man this sucks" "I'm tired of these old concepts of dichotomy that make no sense to any modern thinker". While when you play a game like Deus Ex you're filled with lots of beneficial intellectual material that focuses on the progress on mans understanding of its existence and its society that is at par with the modern day. Stop trying to make a game you wanted to play in your childhood. Make a game that you'll want to play in the future. I was joking about the coding in assembly lol. PM me and we can talk about what you have planned out. I might be interested and you might be interested in what I have to offer. |
