i remember awhile ago, someone made a program that would disable the encryption for UOA. he said it was really easy, but i have no idea howto disassemble or reverse engineer it so i can find a way to turn it off myself. i was wondering if someone that knows howto do what stuff, try and figure out howto disable in. thanks.
p.s. if i shouldent be talking about this, please let me know. |

uoa has some things razor dosent. dont get me wrong, i use razor all the time, but i need uoa to run some easyuo scripts, and razor cant do that.
also theres a new scripting program called UOScript and you need UOA to even run it. |

I believe I've removed the encryption from the client -> server side of the communication, but the server -> client side is proving more difficult (or at least I'm getting a frozen connection after choosing the shard
)I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has made any progress? ![]() |

First thing I'd do is find some tutorials on assembler (http://spiff.tripnet.se/~iczelion/ is quite a good site). Its important that you're a full bottle on assembler before you even try to reverse engineer something... I tried jumping in with only a basic knowledge and its made things a lot more difficult

For something that is never going to work, it seems to be doing a pretty good job...
![]() edit: bah, free webhosting has its disadvantages... u'll have to copy and paste this link into a new explorer window to see it http://taispawn.tripod.com/uoa.jpg Having said that, this is only an older version of UOA so doesn't support the AOS skills etc. However it shows that it is possible. And I actually use razor over UOA. The only reason I bothered with getting UOA to work is because people said it couldn't be done on RunUO servers... and I'm always up for a challenge ![]() |

Yes, but the encryption can be removed without much hastle... the older versions of UOA only encrypted outgoing data, which also makes it a little easier
I've also removed the encryption from the latest UOA, but I haven't the time to get it functional at the moment. |
