Default FrontEnd 2

Zippy was kind enough to give me the source for FrontEnd, so that I could update it some.

Link: http://ai.gamiix.com/downloads.aspx

FrontEnd.zip contains all that you should need.

I am no longer working on this. Please do not contact me about it.

Looks very nice.. but having one problem. When I try and connect to the console, it passes an extra character in front of the username. It looks kinda like a happy face...

Anyways, that buggers up the authentication.

That's because it doesn't work with the existing RemoteAdmin package. Download the new one from my site.

Whoops.. guess I had downloaded it but unzipped it to the install directory instead of \engines. Works like a charm now, thanks.

This is a marvelous utility. I like to have it running on my machine while the server is on another box. It's a lot more conveniant than the telnet package (which I still use for its logging features)

I've a feature request or two.

Keep Alive
Label: Keep FrontEnd logged in.
Control: Check Box on the Configuration Panel.
Description: When this check box is checked, the FrontEnd will keep the connection alive by sending a small packet to the server every 30 seconds or so. The packet does not have to do anything - it's regular presence should be enough for the server to not disconnect the FrontEnd client.

Re-Entry
When restarted by the FrontEnd, the server could also send some iinvitation for the FrontEnd to log in with the same credentials.

Can't seem to get the link to work. I go directly to it, and no file found, I go to the URL and get a DNS. Is it just me?

What needs to be added to Assemblie.cfg?

At compile it complains about not finding a namespace windows and asks if I am missing an assembly referance.

Have you put FrontEnd2 in your RunUO scripts directory? You shouldn't do that... it needs to be compiled as a separate program.

Yes, the RemoteAdmin scripts replace the ones in the distro. Backing up the old ones would be a good idea

Oh, anytime I modify or replace a distro I copy the distro if im modifying it to Custom/Modified or add the new file to Custom/New and then just change the distro filename to filename.cs.disable

I never delete my distro files
