You would need to use MulPatcher or another MUL editor, and upload all the animations to one of the animations files, link it to what the wings will look like in the paperdoll, and link it to artwork for what they will look like on the ground or in your backpack. You'll need a LOT of animations though. I think there's something like 150 of them.

Eh, well some are more and some are less. I think a ridable polar bear has less thn 200, and a ridnable skeletal dragon has more than that.

not really.

A rideable polarbear will have the same number of frames than a rideable skeletal dragon. But you are right, it's less than a full equipment work. You only have to make the mounted animations

Check out this thread over at Orb: http://www.orbsydia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2486 and also some of the other threads in this forum. There have been a lot of discussions going back and forth about custom animations over there; I'm sure someone can help you.

I'd certainly love to get a working set of wings! What kind of wings are they?

those are examples of TEXTURE designs, not animation... get the story right bro... unless i missed somethin...
Heres an example of animation
Man Kicks dog... That would be new b/c we dont have a kicking thing on uo
Heres an example of texture
Chaos shield.... Order shield... X shield that looks like an x... textures are anything that just sits there and exists... animations are those things that exist just moving...
Movement = animation!!!
sorry if i come off as an ass i dont mean it

What about snowman ?

No, everything is animated here:
The wings that Citezyne is watching for, shields, the walking eye...
Well, after, it's vocabulary conventions I suppose.

Kyle, did you actually look at his site? UO Forever has some of the *best* custom animations around anywhere.

I just implemented all six of his new shields the other day and it almost brought tears to my eyes, they were so pretty. A couple of them are distributed as "skins" that replace a currently existing animation with another, but that's easy enough to change if you want to eat your cake and have it to.

For god's sake don't discourage people that are actually putting out good custom animation! It is a tedious project to make brand-new animations, especially for equipable items. UO Forever's project is special, because it includes not only the gumps and the art, but the animations for new items as well. Plenty of people release new gumps, but very few actually take the time and work to create new animations for them.

Textures, incidentally, have NOTHING to do with the types of things displayed above. Textures have to do with the map. Go to the link I posted earlier in this thread if you'd like more info on the subject. It sounds like you could use a little more research on file types, so you might want to check it out.

Holy moly. That is some site! Kirax, can you give a brief rundown on how one implements these shields nowadays? I am a combat medic and find myself missing whole months of conversations but I can't get any of my old Verdata.mul patches (all downloaded, no originals) like the rideable drakes to work since they did away with the Verdata file. What am I doing wrong?
