What is Ultima Iris? Ultima Iris is a 3D game client for the popular Massive Multiplayer Role Playing Game "Ultima Online" (tm). Adding a third dimension to the well-known Ultima Online World, Iris allows the player to navigate the gaming environment just like any modern 3d rpg and still retain the unique roleplaying experience that only classic Ultima can provide. Moreover, being compatible with standard UO game servers, the player is not limited to play with only users of Iris but may also seamlessly interact with players using standard 2d clients.
I was reading their fetuers thanks for psz with his info i found alot info and gatherd them together and wanted to share with you guys..

Unfortunately, though it has the ability to make UO feel like a new experience, it is quite unfinished.

Given some time, it very could replace the normal client as the defacto client for RunUO (and other emu) shards.

"Ultima Iris" was renamed only "Iris"...more correct "Iris 3D-Client".

We choose this, to prevent any copyrights from EA on Iris.

it sounds/looks like an awsome client, but when i try to connect to a shard it shuts down as soon as i enter the world, and when i use it on my local server my char doesnt show up in game. i can move around like im there, and everythings good, but i dont seem my char.

well before you could use the client you must make the configuration done at first.I think there was a thread written on theur forums which actually describes how to run the client,,,

i did all the config before i used it. like i said on a local server it works fine, other than not being able to see my char ingame. but theres something screwy with it on exteranl servers.

I suppose your using runuo ? as far as i know there are some problems on runuo iris.. models..

Just load it up and run it, make sure your using the lastest version, which i beleive is 6.5
