Pandoras & [genboxdata stuck

Been using RunUO and Pandoras for years now, and am quite familiar with the install, updates and all the commands.

I have it installed, running, and can connect to the server. I am more than familiar with the fact that the server freezes up when generating the spawns, data, etc. So what's the problem you ask?

Well, I am quite sure that when you run the command for [genboxdata, and walk away from the computer to do chores it shouldnt still be frozen an hour later. Yes, I said an hour.

I have no other issues with Pandoras Box, nor my server other than this. Any one have any ideas? I get no messages from either the server nor Pandoras Box. So Im not even sure how to get it to tell me whats going on, or what the problem is.

Any help would be most appreciated.

After playing with this that long, knew how to get to the log. lol No nothin in there but the startup and me creating my profile, the maps for the profile loading, and that it. As you can see below:

question - what are your computer specs, & are you using xp or vista?

Psst... look at the log WinXP, Pentium, 1GB - and she's one hell of an early bird!
Though the server could be on another system...?

@Debbie, sorry for the log thing, I didn't intend to sound condescending, I just didn't think about that then. Question: did you try running the command more than once, perhaps with a server restart in between? AFAIK the data generation code in PB 2.0.0.7 is no different from Arya's last 'official' release 2.0.0.5, at least I didn't touch it in my repackaging (and neither did Rapitharian in his, I assume).

(I do have a possibly related problem on my server though, where it crashes anytime I try to recreate the RunUO docs - it seems to hang at the bulk order system documentation, possibly an incompatibility with the custom O/W/L system I installed [Karmageddon's])

i am not sure what it may be then - i actually still use 2.0.5 version of pandoras and not the one some one has redone

the only "upgrade" in mine was the map.dll some one made so it workls with the new ML maps
and fixing the 1.0 to 2.0 changes for the box server

I figured it out, heh. I needed to read a few posts down and follow instructions a little closer. Found the posts by Rapitharian, and used the changes he made. Solved all my issues. Sorry I took so long to respond, but with dialup, I really dont look forward to gettin online anymore. Yeah, yeah I know... whine whine whine. Cant wait till spring when this area finally catches up with the rest of the world, and gets high speed. WOOT!
