Wow, this thread has turned to crap. You guys can't stay on topic or stop from having a pissing contest for anything.
The whole point of this topic was about how helpful and nice it would be to have a distro side base class for the main base classes, thus not needing to do a core edit for anything related to those base classes. You could simply edit the distro side counter part. There is no valid argument against this as far as I'm concerned. Design wise, it would just be a better choice. Any kind of save issues could be fixed with some work, to support older saves. The whole idea behind this "improvement" is to keep from having to compile a new core. Most of everything should be possible to edit outside of the core, other then some things that can't be, or shouldn't be. Mobiles and Items...should be open to distro edits. With a distro side Mobile class that all playermobiles inherit from, it would be easy to add new access levels without needing a core mod. Or other basic things. This would be an improvement to RunUO, not a handicap.
