Freezing / Patch problem

Freezing / Patch problem

I was following Freya's freezing tutorials and have a problem.

I freeze the world, rar the files and make the patch.. that works fine.

But if I freeze a section of Trammel, it adds the same items to the Felucca map.

Where am I going wrong ?

Felucca and Trammel both use the same map. The differences between Trammel and Felucca are stored in what are commonly referred to as the "dif" files:

mapdif0.mul
mapdifl0.mul
stadif0.mul
stadifi0.mul
stadifl0.mul

....contain the map and statics that are unique to Felucca.


mapdif1.mul
mapdifl1.mul
stadif1.mul
stadifi1.mul
stadifl1.mul

....contain the map and statics that are unique to Trammel.

(At least I think that is right, I may have them backwards :) ).

The Freeze commands won't let you save to the "diff" files, so anything you freeze will appear in both Trammel and Felucca since they use the same base map.
 
you can use MUL editor to patch to the diff files, but it is a pain, but can be done
(to fel only is a lot easier - for tram have to do a bunch of renaming - make changes and then rename back)
