Mono or Windows ?

Other than the advantage of server goodies of linux, is there any other reason why one should run RunUO on Mono rather than Windows? (performance, speed, stability, etc)

I'm a total newbie about running a RunUO server, that's why I'm asking these questions. Thank you in advance.
