Razor problem

just reinstalled uo and razor
patched uo right up to current patch and uo works fine(used new 14 day free trail to verify)

when i start razor and try to log in to demise i get error message for

bad server address
the server address you entered could not be resolved

anyone know what to do from here or how to fix it

after i close the message razor stops running and uo starts but it is osi that will start not any other shard have tried 3 different ones and always the same

thanks for any and all help

I played a few years ago and am trying to get back in, and I am currently having the same problem. Any tips?

Maybe this will help other people- I had to run razor as administrator and that did the trick.

Pull up a command prompt and type in "tracert 173.192.237.125" without the quotes and hit enter. Paste the results back here.

Try these 2 things:

1) If you are using a firewall try turning it off just to quickly try again with razor.

or

2)Put 173.192.237.125 in the server adress and 2593 in the port and try to connect to that.

I tried both and I'm still getting the same thing :(

That's very weird, your razor instalation could be corrupted, I dunno what else you could do.

You could play just with the client, I think this would work.

- Go to your ultima online instalation folder, look for a file named login.cfg.
-Create a new notepad file and open the file login.cfg with it (you can just grab the login.cfg and release it on the notepad file)
-Edit that file and put the adress of Demise, it should look like this:

LoginServer= 173.192.237.125 ,2593
LoginServer= 173.192.237.125 ,2593

Save the alterations and if all goes well you should be able to login through the client.exe

Hello, thank you, it gets me to the verify account page now so it looks like it works, If someone hand adds my account.

Thank you for all your help, I think something I can not find is blocking razor and now it's been 4 days of this maybe I'm not to play UO again is all.

when i start razor it still says the same thing, when i log in it connects but only gets to verify and stays there ( had it sitting there for over an hour just o see if it was taking longer then it should.

Sorry to say not at this time. and this is a rebuild so who knows what's going on with it. If I get a new one then I'll try again.

So, did you ever solve the problem? I'm having the same thing, I've tried everything mentioned here and other things I've found around the web, but nothing seems to work. I can use it on my laptop, so it doesn't seem to be a router problem as they share the connection, but I did have to do a clean install on my PC recently and when I reinstalled UO and Razor this is the result - no problems before. Since I last had it working I've a new graphics card, but surely that shouldn't make the difference?

Please does ANYONE know the cause or has had this problem and resolved it?
