RunUO as a Cross Platform App?

RunUO as a Cross Platform App?

I was wondering if , given the fact that RunUO is now opensourced, it would be possible to rework it to make it platform independant or at least have a version for Macs and Linux out there for people wanting to run the server on a non Microsoft machine. I know with creative coding this could be done, its probably alot of work though. I am a linux user myself but have to resort to using windows OS to run my Shard which makes everything much slower. SO if anyone has imput on this, please let me know.

There is more than enough information floating around these forums at this point to answer this question a few times over.
