Just want to say that I know that you do a lot for this community, thats why I think its too bad that you dont have recognition for it because of your wrong manners. Maybe if you keep doing what you are doing and also try to be a little more friendly to people you will soon have a Fan Club.

There is many ways to do the things, you do them right. There is many ways to talk and explain what you do... thats where you have a little problem.

For me the important is what you do, not what you say. And I respect you because the stuff you do, but you wouldnt need to get flamed by all the people who still doesnt know you very much if you took care of the way you say things.

Thanks for this script, I'm on ditmar's shard and I love being able to see who is online and stuff. With such a big world and so few people (compared to real OSI shards) this is really useful. Thanks

I already have a Fan Club its just an word of mouth only club, so alot of people are not able to join it.

The way I say things HELP people. I tell people up front I am not going to do it for them, I am not going to let them talk me into it, I am going to force them to learn.

I should not have to do this but if I didn't nobody would learn and they would always need help.

Posts about phantom

Not trying to bring up old issue or whatnot, but ............
I am always reading peoples posts about phantoms attitude and such..............If he was such an ass he wouldnt even be on this forum trying to help people..........So what if he tells someone to do a little research, or to loook at the way this or that script is to give you idea how to do something..it may not be a direct answer but it is showing you how to learn to do the stuff on your own so that any future problems you might have can or may be avoided.
As for myself at first time dealing with phantom helping me i thought the same as most other people about him but thought about it more'really why should someone just tell you exactly what to write in your script or whatever?' this is script support which means someone might support you in your effort to script.............it doesnt mean someone will write the script for you.....

I am new to scripting and at first i thought it would be better if i just asked for a certain script and someone else just wrote it out for me and posted then i thought well thats no use really, it is much easier when you get to learning how to write the scripts and when you get errors it maybe frustrating and the help or point in the right direction might seem frustrating also but it shows you what your doing wrong and how to learn to fix it yourself.......


As for the whole thing with putting phantom putting people down and people saying bad things to him about it...........doesnt that mean you just did basically the same thing your askign him not to do?


Personally i think if Phantom was not here helping people as much as he does there would be alot more people waiting around this forum for answers that they could have found on their own with a lil learning help from phantom or any others............


So summary ( all i am really saying is teaching someone how to do things is better than just showing them what to change to fix it ..... )


And tahnks go out to all that help anyone on here be it fixing the problem for them or showing them how they can fix their problem!!!!!!!!!
