On my comp it seems that real [1] downloads alot faster than windows

Anyways...Just wanted to say. We all have our likes and dislikes. Give me some pros/cons to both WINDOWS PLAYER and REAL ONE

Real One is Loaded with spy/ad ware unless (ive heard) you pay the 29.99 and get the pro or some such. But why pay for a lame player when Media Player does it with out adding un needed strain to a system.

Media Player all the way!

Media Player: Plays more formats, Streams faster, has more features, is free, has no ad/spyware (Other than the info loader which you can turn off), is included with the OS, has a better EQ, has better colour controls for video, has the ability to tweak the player PER SPEAKER TYPE, can use the video card drivers to enhance video/DVDs, can copy from CD and to CD at better rates (I wanna see Real do MATHMATICALLY LOSSLESS COMPRESSION) and has a better library feature.

RealOne: Bloated, loaded with spy/adware unless you pay, plays less formats, is a lesser format to begin with, has less feature in the player itself, and you must download it.

"You must download it"

The above statement is FALSE
Most computers come with Real one already installed on the system
With spyware : Doesn't really matter to me right now...
I did sign the petetion thingy though

Most of us BUILT our computers and thus WOULD have to download it.

Most computers built Pre-2002 did NOT include Real Player or Real One. Those machines WOULD have to download it.

The statement IS TRUE.

Adware and Spyware has been PROVEN to be almost as dangerous to a system as a virus, and can in some cases kill performance worse than some viruses. It may not be a concern to YOU, but it SHOULD be, and IS to most people.

Ad-Aware is prolly the most popular method (I've been using it for almost two years). There are other spyware removal prgrams, too.

After three months, I had 24.

The average I've found on other users who had never used it was 50 or so.

ANything over 100 means you really should consider NOT going to the sites you go to. (Because whatever you're downloading from them is REALLY KILLING YOUR COMPUTER)

If it has a Windows driver, Media Player *SHOULD* be able to.

(I mean, Hell, you can use an iPod with Media Player :-P :->)
