"Thank-you Lord" (poem)

Thank-you Lord

A cold chill strikes my worried thoughts.
The silent night breaks free at last.
I am alone again, and still, I wonder,
How I've fallen, oh so fast.

My bones, they ache.
My eyes, they burn.
Mercy! Please, for Heaven's sake!
"No, my child, for now, it is your turn."

A cry of agony,
"You've forsaken me!
Yet you've set me free...
Now how to pay you back?"

"Sit back, my child,
You've paid me, my child,
You've written this,
Your epitaph."

And with that,
As quick as a rat,
The sun bares,
It's brilliant face once more.

Up from the floor.,
And I am on my way.
I'm not alone anymore.
Thank-you Lord ...
You've shown me the door.

Take this however you want to ... Having a depressing day, and writting this has made me feel somewhat better ....

life, it will let ya down,
you get back up,
and your thrown to ground.
sometimes i wonder
will i find the girl for me,
or will i just be plundered.
the thought never escapes,
all the times i've tried,
no body relates,
i always get fried.
all them girls promise everything
they say one thing,
and give you fuckin nothing.
you give you give,
and ya try and try,
but all them girls,
just like ta fry.
they fry your heart
and ya soul,
never let down,
or yall be schooled.

i'm tired
im so tired of lookin
i want my girl
i want her now
will i find her?
i hope so now.
i hope she holds me
i hope she's cool
someday ill find her,
and ill make yall drool.
please lord let me find her soon,
i need my love, i need my life,
i need my one,
to tell me,
itll be alright.

lord send me mine
send me my love,
make us work,
and fit like a glove.
ill keep lookin,
cuz thats what i do,
then one day girl,
itll be just me and you.

I use to write poetry for my english class, its a family talent. My mom and sister have both been published multiple times and have won awards. My english teachers never return my poetry though

"One Man Show" (Poem)

One Man Show

Twice came the shudder of the darkest night.
Three strikes came, and he could no longer fight.
What hapens to those who have nothing to bare?
Misery, pain, and humiliation's stare.
I love you.
"Never fear that of which you do not know,
Tonight will be a one man show.
To place the blade upon one's neck,
Never regret, that one man can't forget."
I miss you.
And so the blood has fallen once more.
For the loss of her heart, when knees hit the floor.
But like I've said, it's a one man show.
From the blood of this man, he's decided to go.
I can never forget you.
Decisions made from desperation,
One can not take the devastation.
But at last, he will not be alone,
He sits with his queen, kneeling by his throne.
I need to see you.
Once again, the shell of a man has been filled.
Shame he's lived most of his life so chilled.
But now at last, he seems to be smiling.
Pleasure in death, one would think it defiling.
I will always love you....
Cease to live, you cannot grow...
But none will forget, this one man show.

"The Last String"

The Last String
He lies in pain, noone sees his fall.
He sheds a tear, none will care at all.
His body left heavy, the will to live is gone.
Another time to be alone, cast off from everyone.

As far as he's known, he can't find his light.
All he's known, the skies are filled with toxic night.
Every step ever taken in the deep outside,
Another shock to health, makes if harder to fight the tide.

Every strand of doubt, slices another string of life.
And when there's nothing left, he's blessed to forget the strife.
Now swallow your pride, live and stay.
Forget the sadness, be happy, and play.

She's gone now, not much you can do.
But keep alive, she'd want you to, it's true.
But alas, the doubt, it catches up with that man...
The last string has been ripped, given into Death's hand.

We live, we love, we burn, and we die...
Sometimes we can't just get up, and retry...

As the flower, within its endless cycle, dreams,
So too, will the everlasting moon in its solitude.
The sun, in its complete awareness:
Awakens the flower from its slumber,
Then returns it to a dreamful state.
This endless cycle knows no beginning,
Nor does it precieve an end.
The moon seeks the partner of another
Never seeing its reflection upon the water.

Well, you interpret the meaning... It may mean one thing to me, but to you, it is your interpretation that matters.

One cannot go through life expecting others to always show them everything.

Nothing, Nothing at all. Blankness Blankness is all.
Nothing, Nothing at all. sheet of black covers us all.
Nothing at all. but death for us all.
In the end it doesnt matter at all.

Somebody Cared

It's getting harder to belive that any of this is real,
Your touch upon my face, tells me just how to feel.
You'd always calm me down - tell me never to forget,
That you will always be by my side, withought a single regret.

These pencil marks on paper, will slowly fade with time.
But the memories will remind me, it'll all be just fine.
But paper will be paper, and a touch is a far from reaching me.
When I'm falling into my own Hell, I'm left to miserably fall free.

I try to tell myself "I'll see you soon", when I know it's just a lie,
But I pray and beg for a single chance, just to tell you "good-bye".
Now I'm left with nothing more, than the notes we had once shared.
All I can do is hold them forever, and tell myself "somebody cared".

I could care less of karma count, but the fact that 3 people hate the fact that I'm sharing poetry is a sign that it isn't appreciated.
Also, I don't want hookers, my GF died - not even a year ago, so ... umm.... yeah...
