Yeah i remember that night well on catskills, the first go at it, I got a castle placed up on ice island...about 2 minutes later the server crashed with no save... needless to say I wasnt so lucky the 2nd time ( only managed to place a 2 story log)
My personal favorite thing was really borderline for being an exploit but even after having gms called in on numerous times they never took any action (go figure), anyway, I would find a house that someone was in, I would then poison myself and run up to their door and die... Sure enough after a few moments they would open up the door to loot me... at that time I would rez with penalties and run in and try to hide... It didnt really matter much if I managed to hide or not as they usually put up a fire field and killed me again... that was the easy part, the hard part was the sitting there waiting ( with the rez option screen still up) until they logged out or left... then just rez w/penalties again, call a friend and loot away
what did make that hard though, was how often osi would go down...if you lost connection you lost the rez screen and had to find a new victim
Some places I had more fun with, like guild towers. Some of them I would just steal a few things here and there so they would think it was one of the guild members stealing...
ah yeah good times...good times...
btw stealing off of other boats was fun too
