The idea of a black or white or (insert skin color here) ONLY institution is fundamentally a bad idea, as it promotes segregation directly.
Other organizations have in the past contradicted their own principles, and in those particular cases, I could say that from my point of view, they were acting racist.
classic examples:
NAACP -National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, created by white people btw, NOT by blacks. (the general idea of advancing ALL people should be promoted)
Also the term "African American" is politically incorrect. Not all blacks originated from Africa. There was a case last year where a college predominantly for "African Americans" turned away a student for being white. The student was in fact, African. Some of you may remember that report. At that point, it was blatantly apparent that ethnic heritage had nothing to do with their principles, it was purely skin-color based.
