Well TBH, the price was already going up due to the damn chinese imports takin over the market. people prefer to buy cheap even if it sacrifices flavor, so crawfish farmers here had to raise their prices to handle the competition, then the hurricane comes and shoots sky high., I bet it will do the same as gasoline though. Once they know you're willing to pay that much, even if the shortage is over the price wun go down, cuz they know they can get that much from you. I have a bunch of holes in my backyard and theres some in the carencro bayou (ok its basically a giant coulee lol) might go do that one day. but their awfully tiny compared to the farm ones. one of my nieces that I'm staying with, before all the hurricane shit happened, had caught one in the ditch in their yard puty it in their aqauarium, and thats things still living. I doubt he realizes what a lucky life he has as a pet.NiteStar said:Friends of mine still there (Louisiana) tell me that since Katrina everything has gone through the roof, that sucks. Get you a rake, head to the swamp and get your own Bro LOL
Built all my own "rakes" when young and scraped the ditches, would come up with tons of the things then head for a crawfish boil LOL
Find you some expanded metal (small holes so they can't get out), put a handle on it and then sell what you can't eat...make a profit!!!
