Nope and everything has been overused.

*Edit*
Hopefully this does not offend your sensitive nature but what faith are you? you at the very least believe in the desert god from that symbol

Your justifications for stereotyping are pathetic. You don't know how every Mormon acts as a person, or even how a majority of them act, so to sit here and say "they do this" or "they act like that" is a bunch of bullshit. I don't even care if you were a Mormon your whole life. That wouldn't mean you attended even half of the Mormon churches in even half of Utah or seen how even 2% of Mormons act.

I'm not sure who the "desert god" is...

Try Wikipedia. Ichthys - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Well "Desert God" usually is a reference to the Jesus his dad and that spirit thingy well to be fair its usually called "Angry Desert God" due to what his followers did in its name or were told to do
because from my studies there is no one god so its not logical for me to call it god considering there are so many others

It is not usually in reference to Jesus or the Christian line of beliefs. "Desert God" refers to El or Set, neither of which use that symbol. You don't "study" anything in relation to religion, or you're terrible at it.

Maybe your ashamed when you find yourself being prejudice but I am not for I am human creating stereo types and things of the nature come hand & hand

I suggest you go researching watch some Mormon lectures at BYU a common quote for them "Do not give them meat when milk will do"

There is more then one Desert God yes... I was talking of myself when I use the term maybe that was not communicated clearly enough

oh and the mormon church as a whole tried to use electroshock to "cure" homosexuals and they did not let black people into there church until the usa forced them to have a revelation

Oh please. To get me on the technicality that I do not know every single mormon is truly pathetic. Of course I don't know every last person in the chruch, and no one does or likely ever will except perhaps the prophet counting the number of members, and to him they are numbers and names only.

Not knowing every person can be said from anyone making a judgment call. Including the religion that preaches that they are the "one and only true chruch" that decide to make an unbalanced judgment calls and sterotypes of all homosexuals, women, native Americans, blacks, Muslims, etc. Hell they even have a stereotype in their religion for people that drink Mtn Dew!

So don't give me that shit WarAngel.

Another beautiful attempt to justify bigotry. You can explain it all you want, but it comes down to the fact that you lump all groups of people together and give them one description, whether the majority of them are like that or not.

I suggest you go researching watch some Mormon lectures at BYU a common quote for them "Do not give them meat when milk will do"

A lot of mainstream Christian leaders are very homophobic and loud-mouthed assholes. When you look at the majority of Christians though, they aren't fundamentalist hate-mongers. Just because some Mormon leaders are assholes doesn't make all Mormons that as well.

My god can kick your god's ass.

Seriously thought, Starbucks here should do like the Starbucks at ConnectUO and just not allow threads about religion or politics. It only leads to drama.

Yeah! wait no I am sol no god/goddess to fight for me

War Angel no matter what you do you will have prejudices views theres no shame as long as you do not allow it to control your physical actions towards other people I would never harm someone for what they believe well unless they tried to harm me at least physically however its been my experience that these kind of talks go nowhere sense we are discussing beliefs and when it comes to that no one can win

Antibasic it would be nice. But the laws of posting by the 3rd page it has to be a completely different topic then what was started if we did not have religion/politics to talk about what would it derail into? porn?

If mormons are not meant to be judged by their teachings, their scriptures and their leaders. How does one go about it?

I know damned well not every single mormon is a complete dickwad. But the religion itself has some shady beliefs. And I'll say it again, it's a stupid argument to say I don't know every single mormon, it's one of those no shit sherlock arguments. Of course I don't know them all.

WarAngel let me ask you this. If someone makes a stereotypical judgmental statement, shouldn't they expect the same in return?

You'll grow horns when you convert to mormonism....because apparently we have horns....I guess....according to some yokel from alabama...
*You have no idea how many times I have heard this lame joke, it's a locally well known one, it's nothing but an insult to anyone that doesn't know about the mormon religion. Kind of like calling someone a complete idiot and jackass. It was an insult, and in return I gave another insult*

Everyone reads this and thinks haha what a stupid Alabama hick. This in of itself is a prejudice comment.

To then ask why did I get neg karma? Is ludicrous.

Actually you're right foir a different reason... people, especially here, and especially including me, love conflict, and the threads with conflict are usually more active than the ones without. Politics and religion make great conflict.

Then why do you lump them all into one big group when making negative comments when you have no idea what they all think and do? If it's a no shit sherlock argument, why is it so far beyond your scope of logical ability?

As for the rest of your post, I can't even gather exactly what the point you're trying to make it.
